Welcome to Garde, operated by UseGarde Ltd ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our web and mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

Description of Service

Garde is an AI-powered service that transforms videos into step-by-step guides, recipes, and how-to instructions. Our Service allows you to:

Submit video URLs from platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
Upload your own video files for processing
Receive AI-generated guides with ingredients, tools, steps, and tips
Organize recipes with shopping lists and meal plans
Track nutrition and set cooking reminders
Export guides as PDF files

Subscription Plans and Pricing

Free Tier

The Free Tier allows you to generate up to 3 guides at no cost and access basic features.

Premium Subscription

Our Premium plan provides:

Unlimited guide generation
Advanced features (AI recipe generator, meal planning, nutrition tracking)
Priority processing

Pricing: $4.99/month or $49.99/year

Payment: Processed securely

Refund Policy

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you're not satisfied with Garde Premium, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Contact us at support@usegarde.com with your account email, purchase date, and transaction reference, and we'll be happy to help.

Understanding Digital Services

Garde Premium provides immediate access to AI-powered features upon subscription. When you use these features—such as generating multiple guides, accessing AI recipe tools, or using meal planning—you're consuming digital services in real-time.

Under consumer protection laws, the use of digital content may impact standard withdrawal rights. We evaluate all refund requests fairly and on a case-by-case basis, taking into account your experience with our service.

Refund Eligibility

We will process refunds for legitimate requests made within 14 days, particularly when:

You experienced technical issues that prevented proper use of Premium features
There were billing errors or unauthorized charges
The service did not meet the description provided at purchase

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method.

We reserve the right to decline refund requests that show evidence of misuse, including fraud, refund abuse, or patterns suggesting exploitation of our refund policy.

After 14 Days

After the 14-day period, subscriptions are non-refundable. However, you can cancel your subscription anytime to stop future charges.

Canceling Your Subscription

Cancel anytime through your account settings:

You keep Premium access until your current billing period ends
No further charges occur
Your account returns to the Free Tier
All your saved guides remain accessible

Exceptions

Refunds are not available for:

Subscription renewals (unless you request within 14 days of the renewal)
Partial refunds for unused time in your billing cycle
Free trials you forgot to cancel

Mobile App Subscriptions

Apple App Store: Refunds handled directly by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com
Google Play Store: Within 48 hours, request through Google Play; afterward, contact us at support@usegarde.com

Your Consumer Rights

This policy does not limit your statutory rights. If our service is not as described, faulty, or unfit for purpose, your legal consumer protections apply regardless of this policy.

Acceptable Use

You Agree To:

Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Respect intellectual property rights
Provide accurate information
Use the Service in a manner that does not interfere with others' use

You Agree NOT To:

Violate laws or use the Service for any illegal activity
Upload or process videos you don't have rights to use
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the Service
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission
Resell or redistribute content generated by our Service

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate guides from videos. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes. You acknowledge that:

Recipes may contain errors in ingredients, measurements, or steps
You should verify all AI-generated content for accuracy
Our Service does not provide professional cooking, nutritional, or safety advice
You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergies and dietary restrictions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
We are not liable for errors in AI-generated content, food-related illnesses, or injuries from DIY projects

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent behavior.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
